This is an interesting kit that I got from Banggood.com for under $12au.
It is a single input to multiple output power converter / regulator.
You put 5 ~ 15V DC in, and get +/-12V, +/-5V and 3.3V regulated outputs. This is a good unit for powering breadboard experiments, both digital and analog.

The kit is called “Original Hiland DIY USB Boost Single Turn Dual Power Linear Regulators“
It should be noted that this kit does not come with a box, you have to supply your own. There is SMD soldering required for this kit, although the components are large by SMD standards, so anybody with a fine tip soldering iron and a magnifier would get this working.
