This kit was designed in Australia by Leon, VK2DOB, and it works very well I must say. The majority of components are through hole types, and the few SMD IC’s are already soldered onto the board for you. This radio is a single conversion superhetrodyne receiver and a transmitter that will produce 5 Watts of RF output easily. (Mine can do just over 6 Watts @ 13.8V). This kit requires you to supply the synthesizer / DDS unit which is also available as a kit from Leon’s website.

You can get this kit, and the DDS VFO from http://www.ozqrp.com/
